Your details and Great Aussie BBQ

Privacy policy.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry from our website, we receive what you enter in the form: your name, email address and phone number, the event address, and the event details (date, service time, guest numbers, menu, dietary needs, whether it’s undercover, and any message).

To stop spam, we also keep a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address. It can’t be turned back into the address itself. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs to run and protect the site.

Our website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote, check our availability and book your event. We only contact you about your enquiry and booking.

Where it’s kept

Your enquiry is emailed to our business inbox through an email delivery service (Resend), and a copy is saved in a secure database (Neon) so it isn’t lost if an email goes astray. The website runs on Vercel. These services store and process your details in the United States.

While you type the event address, what you’ve typed is sent to Google Maps (or, if Google is unavailable, to OpenStreetMap’s Photon service) to suggest matching addresses.

Who sees it

Great Aussie BBQ’s team, to quote and run your booking, and the people who look after our website, when they need to fix a problem. The services above handle your details only to provide their service to us. We don’t sell or share your details with anyone else.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to quote, book and keep our business records.

To see the details we hold about you, correct them or have them deleted, call us on 0414 293 396 or email mal@greataussiebbq.com.
